Capital Projects

The newest building, The John and Mary Alford Center for Science and Technology is a state-of-the-art facility equipped with a range of advanced laboratory, research and technology spaces. The Alford Center allows COTC and Ohio State Newark to expand programing, enhance student success, better meet local workforce needs and continue advancing the educational opportunities at the Newark campus.

The John L. & Christine Warner Center houses the campus library and main food-service operations. It serves as the campus Student Center with lounges, game room, dining, meeting spaces, Student Life offices, student organization spaces, tutoring labs, the Barnes & Noble Bookstore, and the offices of campus Public Safety.

The Newark Campus Warner Library provides access to millions of books and other library materials, more than 140 research databases, millions of electronic journal articles, thousands of e-books, images, video and sounds.

Adena Hall hosts a 48,000 square foot gymnasium, along with classrooms. Facilities include the main gym, weight room, lobby areas, shower and locker facilities.

In 2016, funding for the replacement of the Adena Hall bleachers was provided by The Newark Campus Development Fund.

The John Gilbert Reese Center hosts many events and conferences throughout the year and is the home to The John and Mary Alford Performing Arts Hall.
