The Melissa Warner Bow Grand Ballroom, located inside the John Gilbert Reese Center, was filled with scholarship donors, scholarship recipients, board members, alumni, faculty, and staff on Wednesday, April 22, 2026. The evening beautifully celebrated the investment in students and the lasting impact of scholarships.
Throughout the event, donors had the opportunity to meet the students benefiting from their scholarships and hear firsthand how their support has made a difference in their lives. The excitement was evident as donors and recipients connected, sharing their stories and learning more about one another.
During the program, we heard from four outstanding scholarship recipients: Traci Bioh, Kyleigh Tyo, Jared James, and Billie Stojkoska. While each student shared a unique journey, a common theme emerged, gratitude for the donors who believed in them and helped them reach where they are today.
Before the closing remarks, we also heard from donors Kevin and Nicole Cox, as well as John and Julie Uible, all of whom have endowed scholarships with the Newark Campus Development Fund. It was especially meaningful to hear why they chose to establish their scholarships and the involvement they will continue to have. Their generosity makes this work possible.
Congratulations to all of the scholarship recipients, and thank you to the donors who continue to make a lasting impact. You are truly changing lives.
