Stuart N. Parsons has contributed his wealth of knowledge and expertise as a trustee for the Newark Campus Development Fund since 2006, providing deep-rooted, local leadership to steward the resources entrusted to NCDF by our community. As public acknowledgement of the guidance and leadership he has provided to inspire so many donors in our community to support the philanthropic goals of the Newark Campus Development Fund, trustees of The Thomas J. Evans Foundation were proud to make a gift to honorifically name The Stuart N. Parsons Plaza on his behalf.
Mr. Parsons has demonstrated his steadfast dedication to the Licking County community and has lived out his belief that community service is a vital endeavor with immeasurably valuable benefits. Mr. Parsons spent his career at Park National Bank, where he retired as the Senior Vice President and Trust Officer after an impressive 38-year career, during which he had extensive involvement with the Ohio Bankers Association, Licking County United Way, Licking Memorial Health Systems, The Works Capital and Endowment Fund, Licking County Board of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities, Licking County Mental Health Association, Newark Rotary Club, the John and Mary Alford Foundation, the Patricia R. and Herbert J. Murphy Foundation, Licking County Foundation, the Johnstown Area Community Foundation, and the Mary E. Babcock Foundation. In 2006, he was recognized for his generous community spirit with the Licking Memorial Health Systems Lifetime Achievement Award.
