COTC Pataskala Campus Dedication & Ribbon-Cutting

A small collage of four photos shows a ceremonial ribbon cutting and three empty classroom spaces.

August 27, 2021 - An exciting day for Central Ohio Technical College, as President John Berry led the dedication of the newly renovated Pataskala campus!

Campus faculty and staff, students, public officials and community members gathered to view the completed renovation of the 16,000 square-foot building. The project creates a new nursing and allied health lab, science and computer labs, a digital media design lab, student collaboration spaces, and upgrades facility systems.

Student Ambika Karki spoke positively of the campus changes. “When I first drove by it didn’t look like a college. Now I’m like, ‘Is this really my college?’” Ambika, who lives five minutes from the Pataskala campus, started in the COTC/OSU Path2BSN program at the Newark campus at age 17 and relied on her father to help her with the commute to Newark. The renovated Pataskala campus now has more classroom and lab space allowing for a wider offering of courses and the opportunity for Ambika, and others in the rapidly growing western portion of Licking County, the opportunity to pursue their studies closer to home.
